SpotOn - Engineering Manager - C#/ASP/AngularJS

Job Description : We are actively seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our backend development team, focusing on the delivery of exceptional web applications and API solutions designed specifically for the restaurant industry. This pivotal role involves overseeing the development process of our core systems using C#, and ASP. NET Web API, and. NET Core, as well as guiding the strategic direction and growth of the development team. The ideal candidate will not only demonstrate technical proficiency in backend development but also exhibit strong leadership qualities and the ability to foster a collaborative, innovative environment. Experience in iOS development will be considered a : - Direct and oversee the design, development, and maintenance of sophisticated web applications and APIs, ensuring adherence to best practices in C#, and ASP. NET Web API, and. NET Core. - Lead and inspire the development team through effective mentorship, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, project managers, and stakeholders to align development objectives with business goals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and performant software solutions. - Champion the strategic planning and execution of projects, ensuring milestones are met and resources are optimally utilized. - Maintain a pulse on emerging technologies and trends in software development, integrating new tools and methodologies to enhance team productivity and product offerings. - Ensure software reliability and scalability through robust architecture and engineering practices, while understanding and addressing the unique needs of the restaurant industry. - Encourage a culture of open communication, facilitating technical discussions, code reviews, and problem-solving sessions to ensure high standards of software quality. - Manage team dynamics, recruitment, and professional development, aligning individual goals with organizational : - A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a proven track record of technical leadership in software development. - Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role within a C#, ASP. NET Web API, and. NET Core environment. - Demonstrable experience with backend development, database architecture, and system design, underpinned by a solid understanding of software engineering principles. - Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), with a strong preference for candidates with iOS development experience. - Proficient in Agile development methodologies and capable of driving Agile practices within the team. - Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and guiding teams to achieve high performance.
