Hours: 09:45 – 18:00, with one weekday and one weekend day off per week

A passionate and hands-on Store Manager is required to lead a team in a prestigious Edinburgh retail environment that celebrates the culture and traditions of Scotland. This role is ideal for someone with a deep appreciation for Scottish heritage, who can bring this passion to life for both customers and team members.
The business specialises in made-to-measure tartan clothing and heritage goods and is more than just a typical retail shop. The store offers a unique experience by hosting events and presentations for tourists, and partnering with high-end hotels to showcase Scottish traditions. The successful candidate will lead a small team to create a memorable experience for every visitor, whether they are attending a private appointment for wedding attire or browsing the store's collection of high-quality kilts and accessories.

Responsibilities:

• Leading and inspiring the store team to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Educating customers and tourists on Scottish heritage and the traditions behind the products.
• Ensuring a personalised and high-quality experience for every customer, especially during custom fittings and appointments.
• Overseeing daily operations, managing stock, and ensuring the success of in-store events and presentations.

Requirements:

• A strong passion for Scottish heritage and culture.
• Previous experience in retail management or a customer-facing role where the customer experience is a priority.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
