Operations Director - Leasehold Maintenance

Location: Kent - Hybrid working

£65,000 plus Bonus

Jackson Sims Recruitment have partnered with an industry leading Property Maintenance provider who are looking for an astute Operations Director to lead day to day Operations and help to continue their growth and success plans.

The Role:

As Operations Director, you will have a crucial role in overseeing both our field operatives, who are responsible for delivering planned and reactive building services, and our office-based team of account managers, a maintenance manager, and an estimator. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, with a focus on achieving high gross profit margins, driving operational excellence, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

You will be expected to:

  • Lead and manage a national team of engineers and supply chain partners, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Challenge field operatives on performance and quality to maintain exceptional standards.
  • Oversee the office-based team in Kent, driving performance and supporting growth within the business.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service for all clients, ensuring client satisfaction across all touchpoints.
  • Monitor and drive financial performance, ensuring high profitability across all operations.
  • Produce and maintain our regular KPI reports, assessing performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing necessary changes.
  • Reward high-performing team members while addressing and challenging underperformance.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the company as part of a dynamic and expanding business group.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations for both field and office-based teams.
  • Drive operational excellence and ensure profitability across all projects.
  • Deliver high standards of performance and customer service.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop teams to reach their full potential.
  • Monitor financial performance and maintain high gross profit margins (50-60%).
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports.
  • Play an integral role in driving the companys continued growth.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within facilities management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of building services and engineering operations.
  • Experience managing field operatives and office-based teams.
  • Strong financial acumen, with a focus on profitability and margin control.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • Ability to produce and act on KPI reports.
  • A commitment to outstanding customer service and operational excellence.
