Data Engineer - ETL/Power BI

Title : Data Engineer for hospitality Analytics Location : New Delhi Note : Looking for candidates from Hospitality or Airline domain- Experience : 5-10 years Job Description : Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Data Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure Databricks, ETL, data analytics, Power BI , Power apps and a strong understanding of AI & ML technologies, including advanced Generative AI platforms. This role will be pivotal in transforming our data capabilities to drive strategic decisions and optimize our hospitality services. Key Responsibilities : Data Pipeline Development : - Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory. - Ensure seamless data integration from various hospitality software sources, including Property Management Systems (PMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and Point of Sale (POS) systems. Data Storage and Management : - Implement and manage Azure Data Lake solutions to store vast amounts of structured and unstructured data. - Optimize data storage for performance, cost, and security. ETL Processes : - Develop ,manage & automate ETL processes to ensure efficient data transformation of structured and unstructured data and loading into data warehouses. - Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to ensure data integrity and quality. Data Analytics : - Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver analytics solutions. - Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into business operations and customer behavior. AI & ML Integration : - Integrate AI & ML models into data pipelines to enhance predictive analytics and decision-making capabilities. - Stay updated with the latest advancements in Generative AI platforms and implement innovative solutions to solve business challenges. Data Governance and Security : - Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies. - Implement best practices for data management, including data quality, data lineage, and data privacy. Collaboration and Support : - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and operations, to support data-driven initiatives. - Provide technical support and training to team members on data tools and technologies. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - A Master's degree is a plus. - Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, and Azure ETL. 5-10 years. - Strong knowledge of data analytics, AI & ML technologies, and advanced Generative AI platforms. - Experience working with hospitality software sources such as PMS, CRM, and POS systems. - Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages. - Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience in the hospitality industry or a strong understanding of hospitality business processes. - Certifications in Microsoft Azure or related technologies. - Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
