Job Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: You must meet the two selective placement factors to qualify for this position: Selective placement factor #1: Within 6 months of start date, you are required to obtain a Journeyman Electrician license that requires a minimum of 8000 hours work experience subject to the National Electrical Code. A minimum of 6000 hours must be commercial/industrial. A maximum of 2000 hours may be residential. A maximum of 1000 hours of trade-related classroom training and/or 1000 hours of power lineman experience may be part of the 8000 hours requirement. No maintenance hours will be accepted, and Selective placement factor #2: Required to complete OSHA 1910.269 High Voltage Electrical Safety, Confined Space Training and Lockout/Tagout Training, and obtain forklift operator's certification from the Park, within six months of hiring. In addition to the selective placement factor listed above, to qualify for this position, you must also have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Knowledge of Electrical Equipment Theory and Instruments (Electrical, Electronic) Used in Shop and Trade Practices Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Ability To Use Electrical Drawings Ability to Use and Maintain Hand Tools (Electrical Work) Trouble shooting (electrical) If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
