Maintenance Mechanic

PeopleShare is hiring for a Maintenance Technician for a manufacturer in Virginia Beach! This direct hire role offers two shifts and great benefits!

Job Details:

• M-F, 7am-3:15pm or 3pm-11:15pm
• $27.00 per hour
• PTO, 401k, Dental, Vision

Job Description:

• Responsible for maintaining and repairing plant production and support equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
• Diagnose equipment issues to optimize production availability, and perform equipment installation or modification per engineering instructions
• Operate maintenance shop tools, manage part inventories, and maintain organized vendor documentation
• Complete maintenance reports, timesheets, and purchase orders
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• A trades school or technical degree or participation in an apprentice program in maintenance skills
• 5 years practical experience in an industrial maintenance role
• Understanding of PLC Ladder Logic for the purpose of monitoring automated processes and diagnosing electrical problems
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams
• Ability to fabricate small mechanical components
