Job Description

Caudwell Marine (CM) is a start-up business backed by the billionaire and philanthropist John Caudwell and is developing an innovative, patented outboard motor.


The CM organisation is a small, experienced team of people who are passionate about successfully bringing this technologically leading outboard motor to market. Each team member has a ‘hands on’ approach and supports each other for the benefit of the programme.


Job Description

You will report to the Material Planning & Logistics Lead to manage all stores and logistics related activities, this includes all goods in and out of the business.

The Stores & Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for setting up all aspects of stores functions ensuring the flow of raw materials and final products. They will ensure that all the processes and procedures are in place to manage orders and coordinate stock of materials to ensure the company has everything needed to meet customer requirements.

Main responsibilities

  • Taking deliveries and unloading vehicles
  • Booking in deliveries into the company systems in agreed time frame
  • Inspection of parts
  • Ensure Manufacturing receive parts/picks when needed
  • Supporting factory efficiency, safety & tidiness
  • Maintaining documentation & packaging
  • Preparing parts for delivery
  • Booking of deliveries if/when needed
  • Adhere to ERP rules
  • Key metrics: FIFO process/Stock Rotation, Cycle Counting.
  • May be required to attend 6 monthly stocktakes at Lowestoft branch

Previous Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years in similar role
  • Fork lift operator licence, to be refreshed every 3 years
  • Experience with MRP
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
