Job Description
Kleine Zalze Restaurant, based in Stellenbosch, is currently looking for an energetic person who can lead, inspire and motivate their existing team. The Assistant Front of House Manager will be an ambassador for the brand while being responsible for all aspects of Front of House operations. The position requires strong business acumen to support business growth, detailed administrative skills, and the ability to establish effective internal controls. The restaurant operates in a dynamic environment, and the incumbent must adopt a structured approach to daily operations. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills (Afrikaans and English) for professional guest interactions and for managing the Front of House staff. KPA's will include: Customer experience Operations management Staff management Assist with FOH budget & financial responsibilities All other tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: Relevant tertiary qualification in Hotel/Hospitality Management; 5 years proven experience in a Front of House leadership role, within a restaurant or similar hospitality environment; Knowledge of food and wine and a passion for the wine industry is highly preferred; Proficiency in MS Office, restaurant management software, and point-of-sale systems; Drivers license and own reliable transport; Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
