To know more about us visit www.york.ie Job Description : As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products/services. Leveraging your expertise and experience in QA methodologies, tools, and processes, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and mitigate quality risks throughout the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities : - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies based on functional and technical requirements. - Perform manual testing to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability. - Identify, report, and track software defects using issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA) and work closely with developers to resolve issues in a timely manner. - Participate in requirement analysis, design reviews, and sprint planning meetings to ensure testability and quality considerations are addressed early in the development process. - Collaborate with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and ensure alignment between business objectives and QA processes. - Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall quality. Requirements : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 4 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on manual and automated testing. - Strong proficiency in QA methodologies and best practices ( Great to have ) - Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail. - Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact professionally with cross-functional teams. - Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products/services on schedule.
