This position is based in our Perham, MN office, and preferred candidates must be willing to work on-site to foster teamwork, share expertise, and engage in collaboration.
As a Project Manager in our Architectural department at Widseth, you'll work alongside a team of architectural professionals on projects across Minnesota and North Dakota. This position will tactfully manage the balance between design and technical solutions to achieve project deliverables that satisfy the design and client program requirements. The variety of projects include luxury lake homes, schools, offices, state and municipal facilities, hospitality, retail, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. Your focus will be:
* Interpreting design concepts and translating them into workable solutions and evaluate alternatives for cost effectiveness.
* Meeting with and guiding clients through the design process
* Implementing all local, state, and federal applicable building codes, constructability and architectural standards of practice.
* Working efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines, as well as balancing multiple projects.
* Coordinating verbal and written communications with a multi-discipline team. Interacting with contractors and clients throughout the various phases of the project.
To be considered for this position you'll need to meet the following minimum qualifications:
* Graduate of an accredited Architectural program but does not need to be licensed.
* 5+ years' architectural design experience (should be able to showcase finished/built work)
* Knowledge of principles and practices of architecture.
* Meeting with and guiding clients through the design process
* Understanding of building codes and county property land management rules
* Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and/or SketchUp is not required, but beneficial.
