We're actively seeking a talented VP, Global Head of Human Resources Solutions to join our Human Resources (HR) team in Newport Beach, CA reporting to the EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer. The preference for this role is to be hybrid with openness to considering remote candidates. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.

As the VP, Global Head of HR Solutions you will move Pacific Life, and your career, forward as you take on will be responsible for developing and leading the technology strategy in support of HR across the enterprise. This leader will manage the implementation, optimization, and innovation of HR technology, ensuring alignment with the company's broader business objectives and employee experience goals. This role will work closely with HR, IT, Finance, and business leaders to deliver scalable, integrated solutions that drive an improved employee experience, enhanced operational efficiency, compliance and risk mitigation, data-driven decision-making, and innovation and agility across the organization.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • HR Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a global HR technology roadmap aligned with the company's strategic objectives and workforce needs, ensuring seamless integration with broader digital transformation efforts.
  • Platform Management: Oversee the implementation, management, and optimization of core HR systems, including Workday. Ensure the systems meet regulatory compliance, data integrity, and operational efficiency standards.
  • Employee Experience: Enhance the employee experience by delivering user-friendly, innovative HR technology solutions. Foster a digital-first approach to employee attraction, engagement, performance management, learning, and development.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with HR senior leadership, IT, and external vendors to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with key HR technology vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee the performance of third-party service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions and services.
  • Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement efforts in HR operations through automation, artificial intelligence, and process redesign to improve efficiency, reduce manual tasks, and enhance the accuracy and speed of HR services.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure the security, privacy, and compliance of all HR technology platforms in accordance with global regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant data protection laws.
  • Innovation & Future-Readiness: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the HR function. Introduce new tools and technologies that can enhance employee experience, recruitment, learning, and development.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing HR technology team, providing direction, support, and professional development opportunities; foster a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the HR technology function

The experience you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in HR technology leadership roles, ideally within large, complex, and global organizations.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, including talent acquisition, talent management, compensation, benefits, payroll and compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing large-scale HR technology platforms, preferably Workday.
  • Expertise in HR data management, analytics, and reporting tools.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing global projects.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver complex initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and digital transformation is a plus.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Also, this role is eligible for additional incentive pay.

$235,000 - $285,000
