Growth opportunities performing essential work to support America’s food distribution system
Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, replace, adjust and modify company vehicles, vans, pick-up trucks, tractors, trailers and various types of refrigeration, air conditioning and temperature control equipment, including structural metal repair and painting of tractors and trailers, as well as performing road service and preventative maintenance duties following standard accepted methods, practices and procedures in emergency and non-emergency situations and ensuring all safety and quality standards are met. May provide guidance to Mechanic, Fleet Helper. Performs all preventive maintenance and mechanic work on all company trucks and trailers to minimize the effect on deliveries.
Lubricates chassis, trans, wheel hubs, rear axles, and 5th wheels
Checks the batteries on tractor and trailers
Checks for electrical problems
Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
3 - 5 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in refrigeration.
