Maintenance Lead

Job Overview: We are seeking for a Maintenance Lead to supervise, control, coordinate and oversee the overall work of maintenance staff engaged in renovation, refurbishing, repairs and maintenance of the resort’s structures, buildings, and amenities. This position needs someone to ensure all Health and Safety is adhered to and work in unison with the security manager as part of the Health & Safety committee. We also need the person to supervise the environmental committee with the goal of obtaining the required SEMP scores. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Planning and Management: Develop and implement maintenance schedules and Oversee all repair and installation activities to ensure they are completed timely and Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and resolve Team Supervision: Manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and Assign and prioritize tasks to team members, ensuring efficient use of Conduct performance evaluations and address any staffing Budget and Inventory Management: Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective Maintain inventory of necessary tools, equipment, and supplies. Negotiate contracts with external vendors and service providers Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with health and safety Implement and monitor safety protocols to protect staff and Stay updated on industry standards and regulations to maintain Facility Management: Oversee maintenance of all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and Manage landscaping, parking areas, and other external property Address emergency maintenance issues promptly and Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, equipment warranties, and Prepare regular reports on maintenance performance and issues to the General Monitor and report on energy usage and implement measures to improve energy Must have: Matric Certificate 3-5 years’ relevant maintenance experience 1-2 years’ experience coordinating independent projects or task. 5 years in building / trade environment Hand and power tools basics carpentry, electrical, plumbing and brick laying
