Job Description

Electrician: • Perform skilled work in the repair, alternation, construction, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. • Inspect, test, service, install, upgrade and maintain electrical systems including conduit, wiring, light appliances, generators, power circuits, motor appliances, generators and switches.• Install, maintain and repair electronic equipment including security, fire alarm, master clock and other devices and equipment; re-set clocks as necessary.• Install electrical wiring and systems; wire main and sub electrical panels; install new circuits or replace existing circuits as needed; repair or replace power outlets as necessary; check circuits and replace breakers as appropriate.• Assemble, install and repair lighting fixtures, wiring and controls; install and repair ballasts, sockets, capacitors, bulbs and other lighting parts, wiring and assemblies; install new electrical systems and equipment.• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical malfunctions; perform diagnostics tests on system components and replace defective wires and parts including switches, receptacle and fuses.• Install interior and exterior wiring; assemble and install lighting systems. Education and Experience: Any combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates possession of the knowledges and abilities stated above, and the ability to perform the duties of the position. Education: Graduation from high school supplemented by completion of an approved apprenticeship program in an assigned trade.Experience: Three years journey-level experience in an assigned trade such electrical
