We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a head chef at The Apple Tree, an esteemed restaurant in the picturesque village of Ockbrook, Derbyshire.

Conveniently located just a 5-minute drive from junction 25 of the M1 and Pride Park, our teahouse is renowned for its outstanding reputation and unique dining experience. We are currently nominated in the Derby Food and Drink Awards.

Position: Part Time / Full Time

Working Hours: Daytime, 8 AM - 3:30/4 PM (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday)

We are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Role Overview:

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Lead the kitchen team and bakers.

- Effective ordering and stock rotations and management.

- Maintain and elevate current dishes and create a seasonal menu and introduce specials.

- Cost Control.

- Prep and execute all menu items to maintain our exceptional standards.

- Manage the kitchen team.

- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, busy environment.

- Collaborate with our team to drive the business forward and contribute to our continued success.

- Create 6 bistro evenings a year.

- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and comply with HSE standards.

Requirements:

- A creative culinary professional with a passion for innovation and past proven experience.

- Ability to thrive in a bustling, dynamic setting.

- Flexibility to work weekends.

- Must have solid references.
