Position: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: London, West End
Project: Iconic £100m Luxury Hotel Fit-Out

A leading ultra-high-end fit-out and refurbishment contractor known for excellence in delivering bespoke projects that define luxury and who have had a portfolio featuring some of the most prestigious developments in the industry are actively on the market seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for an iconic refurbishment of a Luxury Hotel.
They pride themselves on their commitment to quality, innovation, and client satisfaction. Currently, they are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team for an iconic luxury hotel fit-out in the heart of London's West End.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Support:
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for the luxury hotel project, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Help maintain and update project cost control systems and assist in tracking expenditures.
- Tender Assistance:
- Support the preparation of tender documentation, including bills of quantities and pricing schedules.
- Assist in the evaluation of subcontractor and supplier proposals during the tender process.
- Contract Support:
- Aid in the administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with project requirements and company policies.
- Help manage correspondence with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, supporting effective communication.
- Financial Reporting:
- Contribute to the preparation of financial reports, including cash flow forecasts and cost reports.
- Assist in monitoring project budgets and identifying variances.
Site Coordination:
- Conduct site visits to observe progress and compliance with project specifications.
- Assist in identifying potential issues and report findings to senior quantity surveyors.
- Documentation Management:
- Maintain accurate records of project documents, correspondence, and financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and client meetings.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the quantity surveying team, project managers, and other stakeholders to support project delivery.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions about project progress and challenges.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Working towards a relevant professional qualification (e.g., pursuing MRICS) is a plus.
- Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in quantity surveying or a related field, preferably within the construction or fit-out industry.
- Exposure to luxury projects or hospitality environments is advantageous.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Communication:
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues and external partners.
- Problem-Solving:
- Ability to identify challenges and propose solutions in a proactive manner.
