Job Description
We are looking for a Children Support Worker to join our client's team
To provide a needs led service to young people/children with autism and associated difficulties by adopting a person centred approach that fosters self-awareness, personal growth and gives each person the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices.
Main Responsibilities, Tasks & Duties
* Ensuring a firm, caring, consistent, well ordered environment is maintained at all times.
* Supervising children and young people before and after the school day including meal times and to proactively support/encourage the development of their cooking skills etc.
* To actively promote and participate in care planning, developing risk assessments, behaviour management and to attend regular team meetings.
* Accompanying children and young people on recreational activities and demonstrating positive role modelling.
Performance and Development
* Maintain confidentiality.
* To act as a positive role model at all times.
* Work within Treehouse Educare’s policies and procedures.
* Adhere to the Treehouse Educare Codes of Practice and staff handbook. At all times to work within equal opportunities policy and procedure.
* At all times work within current legislation.
* Enter actively into supervision and appraisal.
Please note that this positions require an Enhanced DBS check in relation to working with children.
Full UK Driving licence is essential
