Gillam is a prosperous community with a beautiful, newly-renovated recreation centre that includes: skating and curling rinks, a community library, a movie theatre and a fitness centre. The community is a recreational paradise offering fishing, boating, hunting, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and hiking trails. Other amenities include a hospital, pharmacy, Co-op grocery store and hair salon. There are also daily flights to Winnipeg.
