School District 49 (Central Coast) is currently looking for qualified teachers-on-call. Our qualified teacher-on-call list is quite small in number and with an active teaching force attending conferences, needing medical appointments, attending community events/meetings, and illness we are in great need for qualified teachers to be on our teacher-on-call list. School District 49 (Central Coast) offers the perfect opportunity for the new and veteran teacher. Candidates are expected to have: Knowledge of effective teaching practices and current BC curriculum; Strong working knowledge in the area of science; Experience in working with First Nations Education; Membership in the B.C. College of Teachers; Experience in a cross cultural environment; Ability and commitment to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and community.
