Job Description
Hays has partnered with an integrated local firm registered in Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan who are actively looking for an Interior Designer to join their growing team. This firm has considerable experience on a wide variety of building types of varying scale and complexity, with a commitment to high quality innovative design. As the Interior Designer you will be working closely with the team to assist in the design, development, and construction of various projects including commercial, institutional, industrial, hospitality and residential. Responsibilities Create attractive designs and layouts for various projects Meet with client in order to understand the client's objectives and desires Communicate effectively with client, vendors and team in order to address client's needs Communicate and coordinate required design through engagement and programming, concept/schematic design phases, space planning development, and technical drawings and detailing from early conceptual stages through to final completion Responsible for selection and specification of furniture, finishes, equipment, and accessories; preparation of FFE documents Contribute and prepare presentations for internal and external meetings; render conceptual design ideas and prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings Qualifications 3 years of prior experience, local experience in similar project typology to the firm strongly preferred Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or related field AAA registration is a strong asset, but not required Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Twinmotion, Enscape and Lumion A design enthusiast, who can translate concepts into uniquely experiential and functional design solutions Flexibility and adaptability to work on multiple projects simultaneously High level of creativity, innovative thinking and problem solving skills The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package of $60,000- $70,000(dependent on experience) bonus (based on performance) extended benefits, paid parking and flexible work hours
