Title: Certified Surgical Tech Opportunity to Work in a Critical Access Hospital! MUST HAVE EXPIRIENCE IN "endoscopies, general/ laparoscopic and orthopedic surgeries"
Job Summary:
We are seeking to hire an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our Surgical Services department. Our Surgical Services department incorporates several areas that include pre-op, operating room, and recovery room. The Ideal candidate will have experience in general/ laparoscopic and orthopedic surgeries. Surgical Technologist Job Responsibilities:
" Setting up the instruments and equipment that is required for the procedure
" Reviews upcoming surgical cases and takes inventory to ensure there are enough supplies for surgery
" Passing the Surgeon instruments and sterile supplies throughout the operation
" Taking a count of all surgical instruments and supplies prior to the operation
" Recounting surgical instruments and supplies at the end of the operation
" Maintaining an overall sterile environment throughout the surgery
" Don and doff surgical attire, including sterile gloves, gowns, and masks
" Cleans endoscopy scopes as needed
" Assists with transferring and positioning patients both to and from the surgical table
" Participates in stocking and restocking medical/surgical supplies
" Pulls cases for the next day
" Helps clean rooms after surgery to support a 30 minute or less turnover for surgical and a 15 minute or less turnover for endoscopy cases
" May occasionally assist surgeons in other areas of the hospital
Schedule: Monday Thursday 7:00am 4:30pm + on Call
Our department boasts a supportive and collaborative work environment with a light to medium workload that alternates between scheduled cases. Our team works both independently and as part of a close-knit group, and we are looking for a candidate who can thrive in this dynamic. We specialize in endoscopies, general/ laparoscopic and orthopedic surgeries providing our surgical technologists with exciting opportunities to utilize their skills. In addition, our patient care is highly personalized, ensuring that each patient receives exceptional care and compassion.
Our surgical technologists enjoy a light call schedule with a 45-minute call back time, and call is only one day a week and every third weekend. We offer self-scheduling for call, allowing our team members to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Surgical Technologist Qualifications / Skills/ Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years experience working as a surgical technologist
Ideal candidate will have experience in general/ laparoscopic and orthopedic surgeries.
Would prefer a graduate of an approved operating room (OR) technologist program with certification but willing to hire the right non-certified candidate that becomes certified within one year of hire.
Able to use of Medical technologies, Surgical technology and has Technical understanding
Able to creating a safe, effective environment
Can Analyzing information
Is able to performing diagnostic procedures
Has effective communication skills
Great People skills, dependability, quality focus and planning
Must be able to understand written and oral instructions.
Current Basic Life Support certificate required
Required call commitment
