Job Description

We are currently seeking an IT Technician to join our team at Belmond. In this role, you will be based in The Cadogan in London.

Belmond is a modern organization that relies on efficient and reliable IT systems. We are looking for a candidate who can listen to our needs, evaluate them, provide recommendations, and successfully complete projects. You will be responsible for finding appropriate solutions to meet the daily business challenges.

Key responsibilities of the IT Technician include:

  • Managing service desk activities and providing IT support to users, both on-site and remotely. Collaborating with vendors, when necessary, to resolve IT issues reported by users.
  • Maintaining the functionality of IT services and restoring them, if necessary, in compliance with service level agreements. Acting as an interface with relevant parties to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and accurate user list for all relevant systems. Performing monthly cross-verification of active employees with user lists in various systems and enabling/disabling user access accordingly.
  • Performing monthly checks defined by management to ensure security and compliance in accordance with company policies.
  • Installing and configuring IT assets, collaborating with the ICT team to manage standard changes and higher-level requests.
  • Providing technical assistance to guest, customers and colleagues as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a high school diploma with relevant IT experience
  • Knowledge of architectural and infrastructural concepts of Microsoft Windows environment, Active Directory, and related services
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP network fundamentals
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues from different locations
  • Organizational skills and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines set by the manager
  • Previous experience in computer hardware maintenance

In addition to these requirements, the ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to effectively communicate with technical teams and end-users.
