Nurse Practitioner, Surgery: Neurological

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our collaborative and supportive Neurosurgery team at Methodist Hospital Position Details: Full-time, Weekend Day Shift 3x12s (6am-6:30pm) Every Saturday and Sunday plus one weekday shift per week No call 100% inpatient Team includes 13 physicians and 15 APPs Inpatient Neurotrauma, neurovascular, and neurosurgical patients (i.e. stenosis, stroke, brain and spinal cord tumors, brain surgery, ICU) Key Responsibilities: See neurosurgery consults Patient care coordination Ordering diagnostic imaging and labs Perform complete neurological exams Interpret data and imaging results Assist in developing the plan of care for patients Qualifications: ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certification required APP Experience in neurosurgery and/or ICU preferred If new graduate, clinical rotation and/or clinical rotations in neurosurgery, trauma, or ICU is required General knowledge of neurological deficits and disordered highly preferred IU Health offers a value-based compensation package that includes: group insurance (health, dental, life, disability), 401k with company match, generous PTO, CME allowance/time off, relocation assistance, and malpractice insurance coverage.
