Our Pediatric teams:
Southcentral Foundation provides high quality care for Alaska Native and American Indian children through an integrated model. We strive for all children to have a relationship with and access to pediatric trained specialists along with the continuity of their family's primary care provider. In this approach, the integrated pediatrician performs well-child visits at specified intervals and remains available for consultation. Additionally, the integrated pediatrician and team manages a small cohort of children with chronic conditions. Along with the pediatrician, the integrated pediatric support team includes a dedicated nurse case manager, certified medical assistant, and case management support personnel for scheduling and administrative duties.

Comprehensive formulary with on-site integrated
pharmacy support.
On-campus access to multi-disciplinary team of specialists:
ENT, orthopedists, general/trauma surgeons, dental,
behavioral health.
Includes pediatric-specific specialists in:
Intensive Care Unit (PICU) through the Alaska Native
Medical Center.

Minimum Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree required.
- Licensed as a Physician in the State of Alaska.
- Current American Board certification specialty appropriate for the service.
- Meets all requirements in order to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.
