With exciting restaurant projects / new brands coming to London, we are looking for an experienced HR and Talent Acquisition professional to join the team!



Job Overview:

We are looking for an HR & Talent Manager who can bring together strategies and people related processes aligned with the law, to manage the company’s workforce.

You will consistently deliver a pro-active and professional service to the business through effective communication with the senior management teams and by instilling a foundation for the relationship between employee and employer.

You will be responsible resourcing and talent management, learning and training, reward and performance management, employee relations, employee welfare and employee engagement, as well as you will oversee the recruitment and hiring process for all restaurant positions, ensuring we attract and hire top talent to support our operations.

This role involves developing and implementing effeective recruitment strategies, managing job postings, conducting interviews, and collaborating with various departments to meet sta@ing needs.

You will be responsible for seeking, scheduling interviews, and hiring for a variety of roles, including

executive chefs, sous chefs, front-of-house, etc.

You will need to aim to be inspirational, continually strive to challenge, influence, listen, develop and recognise the need of the individual whilst balancing the demands of the organisation for skilled, competent motivated, focused employ.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement recruitment plans and strategies to attract qualified candidates for various restaurant positions, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and management roles.
  • Write and post job advertisements on various job boards, social media platforms, and other channels to reach potential candidates.
  • Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and schedule interviews. Evaluate candidates' qualifications and fit for the roles.
  • Work closely with restaurant managers and department heads to understand staffing needs and ensure alignment with recruitment efforts.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, training coordination, and ensuring a smooth transition into the team.
  • Ensure a positive and professional experience for all candidates throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact to final hiring decision.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure that recruitment practices comply with employment laws and regulations.

  • Track and report on recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate sources. Use data to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Manager full employee lifecycle from offer letter / induction to onboarding
  • Champion a performance culture and continuously review productivity and employee
  • development, making and actioning recommendations for improvement.
  • Create a safe and inclusive environment and keep track of employee performance.
  • Control the HR Budget and report on current and future staffing costs and initiatives.
  • Act as an adviser to managers on employee policies.
  • Provide human and business savvy advice and support on people related matters from hiring,
  • performance, employee relations that are always up to speed with all UK legislations.
  • Implement employee retention programs.
  • Make sure employees adhere to company polices and act as advisor to managers on employee
  • policies.
  • Handle highly confidential information in an honest and trustworthy way.
  • Identify fluctuations in local, seasonal & national recruitment trends and offer solutions in a timely
  • manner that action can be taken to prevent any negative impact to the business.
  • To be point of contact when employees have job related issues.
  • Handle conflicts, disciplinary actions, and terminations in line with organisation policy.
  • Manage employment relations issues such as grievances and employee welfare.
  • Ensure full knowledge of brand standards and any changes or updates.
  • Adapt to new trends and technology.
  • Oversee and conduct company appraisals.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role in the hospitality or restaurant industry is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of recruitment and HR best practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build relationships with candidates and team members.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is
  • preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with recruitment software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
