The new proposed system is designed to make it easier, faster and cheaper for psychiatrists trained in the UK and Ireland to move to Australia.

Selection criteria

• High level clinical knowledge and proficiency in general adult psychiatry in a range of settings.
• FRANZCP or
• If you are an overseas trained psychiatrist you will have completed your training in either Ireland, UK, NZ, Canada or USA, South Africa, Sri Lanka (with 2 year placement in Australia) and have completed a formal 6 months post in child and adolescent psychiatry in your higher or core training.
• Experience and leadership in MDTs,
• Clinical practice and service delivery to encourage early intervention and prevention.
• Willingness to teach undergrad, postgrad, DiTs etc.
