Medical Laboratory Technologist

Position Summary Medical Lab Technologist (MLT) opportunity is available now at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKH) in Cranbrook, B.C. This is a permanent part-time 0.68fte position. Days of work are rotating and shifts are days, evenings and nights. Applicable positions may qualify for up to $20,000 as a recruitment incentive and/or be eligible for relocation allowance. About the job: MLTs work in a supportive, team-based environment and perform a variety of duties within the assigned discipline department. About this location: EKH is a 75 bed acute care hospital with a medium size Laboratory offering Core Lab, Microbiology, Histology and Pathology. It is considered a regional referral site for selected testing and there are a cohesive team of Medical Technologists and Med Lab Assistants employed in various disciplines. Cranbrook is situated in the sunny southeastern corner of British Columbia. The city is considered to be the business capital and largest hub in the Rocky Mountain Region, which is also an easy drive to Calgary and the US. Qualfications • Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program • Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS) and/or CSMLS • One (1) year of recent related experience
