Position Overview Working as part of a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of the Program Director, the incumbent: Performs a variety of clerical tasks and acts as a communication link for the unit. Performs a variety of tasks for the care and comfort of patients as well as routine tasks to maintain the cleanliness of the area. Experience 1-2 years recent relevant experience as a Unit Clerk required. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Complete high school education (Manitoba Standards) required. Successful completion of Unit Clerk certificate from a recognized course required. Successful completion of Health Care Aide certificate from a recognized course required. Consideration will be given to candidates who: Have successfully completed the Anatomy/Medical Terminology and Office Practice course or other recognized related combined courses. Physical Requirements All shift rotations as required. This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement. This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment. Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Golden West Centennial Lodge, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
