Medical Laboratory Technologist

Position Summary A permanent full-time Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) opportunity is available now at the Kelowna General Hospital (KGH). Days of work are rotating and shift times include day and night shifts. Effective April 1, 2024 pay rate will be $36.69 - $45.70 Applicable positions may qualify for up to $15,000 as a recruitment incentive and/or be eligible for relocation allowance. About the job: MLTs work in a supportive, team-based environment and perform a variety of duties within the assigned discipline department. The Lab consists of hundreds of team members who work collaboratively in a variety of disciplines such as Collections, Accession, Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology, Histology, AP and Molecular. The hospital is situated just moments from Okanagan Lake in the vibrant and growing city of Kelowna. Live, work and play where others only vacation Qualfications • Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program • Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS) and/or CSMLS • One (1) year recent related experience • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
