Clinical Dietitian

Position Summary We are seeking a Casual Clinical Dietitian at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC. Days of work: Monday to Friday, Days Shift times: 08:00 to 16:00 This is a casual position. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and that days of work and shift times may vary. Many careers with us begin with casual employment and lead to permanent or temporary career opportunities. This position provides acute care services and has the possibility to expand to cover long-term care and outpatient nutrition. Reserved Activities A, B, and C will be required once in the position. Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, goal setting and monitoring; counseling and education programs; consults and communicates with the multidisciplinary care teams; acts as a resource to other health professionals and communities within Interior Health. The Dietitian provides input to the Professional Practice Leader or designate by participating in the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures; research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the facility and program. The Dietitian liaises and advises food service staff on patient/client/resident care issues and menu development. Where are we located? Apply today Qualfications • Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics. • Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility). • Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC) [formerly College of Dietitian of British Columbia (CDBC)]. • One year of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment preferred. • Valid Driver’s License.
