Position Summary Interior Health is currently seeking a Long-term Care Attendant to join our team at Forest View Place in beautiful Clearwater, B.C. About the Job: As the Long-term Care Attendant (LTCA) you will work as an integral part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, who provide care and support in a long-term care setting. Working under the direction of RN’s and LPN’s, LTCA’s have key responsibilities in the individual care plan for each patient, ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are supported, while promoting maximum independence. Effective April 1, 2024, the hourly wage for this position will be $29.83 Typical duties include: • Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living • Assisting with mobility, transfers and related equipment • Performing nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse and respiration • Housekeeping activities relating to maintaining a safe and healthy environment • Observing and reporting changes in patient behavior and condition • Accompanying clients on outings and during social activities • Performing clerical duties and delegated tasks This is a CASUAL OPPORTUNITY . About this location/unit: Forest View Place, located in Clearwater, embodies a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. This facility has 19 permanent long-term care beds and two beds for palliative and respite clients. Rooms are private with beautiful views of the gardens and surrounding forest. A spacious dining room and activity area look out over a large, covered ground deck at the entrance of the garden. All areas are wheelchair accessible. A recreation coordinator is on site to facilitate an at home environment.
