Job Description

Carrols Restaurant Group, headquartered in Syracuse, NY, is a subsidiary of Burger King Corporation. Carrols operates over 1,000 Burger King® locations across 23 states and approximately 60 Popeyes® locations in 6 states. We are excited to bring on a new team member in our Application Development department and we are currently recruiting for an IS Project Manager IIto join our team.

The IS Project Manager II will be responsible for planning and allocating resources, preparing budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle. All of this takes place within the framework of achieving a company's goals relative to application development. Assignments involve project managing the delivery of all components of the Systems Development Life Cycle with minimal direction for multiple departments in the company. Systems can include the inter-relation of functions between business areas including interfaces to related internal or external applications.

ESSENTIAL PM RELATED

Essential PM Replated Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget.
  • Lead the initiation and planning of a project and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Develop a detailed plan to monitor and track the progress of the project.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Manage relationships between clients and stakeholders.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate project management tools.
  • Perform risk management analysis to reduce project risks.
  • Report and escalate to upper management as and when needed.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive project documentation
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Development of assignment plans including approach, review the proposed solution with peers for concurrence, time estimate and schedule. Monitor progress, prioritize tasks, obtain appropriate task authorizations, and prepare progress reports.
  • To maintain a high degree of knowledge and understanding of basic and advanced Project management in the following areas to ensure the effective implementation of systems:
  • Oversee all the technical aspects of the project.
  • Identify the technical resources needed for the project and source these materials from third party vendors.
  • Assign and monitor the work of technical personnel.
  • Maintain technical alignment with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all technical devices or platforms used by the team are always in their top shape.
  • Manage the software development projects and facilitate releases.
  • Recommend upcoming software trends and strategies to be used in the projects.
  • Possess a high-level understanding of computer programming languages.
  • Check the software projects periodically to evaluate its performance and provide updates.
  • May assist with establishing Systems Development practices and procedures.
  • Carry out I/S internal control policies and procedures required by Sarbanes Oxley.
  • May be responsible for maintaining security components related to applications supported by the department
  • Exercise effective judgment in the application of the Systems Development Life Cycle by selecting the steps applicable to the delivery of the business requirement ensuring an effective design and quality results.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the business functions within the assigned areas such as Operational Reporting, Financial and/or HR Systems, Point of Sale Processing including data collection and Business Intelligence Reporting to ensure a clear understanding of the workflow and business requirements.
  • Keep supervisor and other concerned individuals informed of assignment status by initiating face-to-face communication and written status reports.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Two-Four-year degree in related field required
  • 3-5 years or more years of Project Management experience required.
  • Business systems knowledge in one or more of these areas including retail, accounting, human resources/payroll, and point of sale required.
  • Experience with various PM methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall
  • Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley controls covering software life cycle management is desired.


The salary range for this position is $80,000 - 90,000 depending on experience. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
