Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Oldham
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (Part-Time options available)
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week

Salary: £14 per hour
Sleep-In Rate: £65 per night

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team in Oldham. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to children and young people in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. You will lead by example, supporting the team in maintaining the highest care standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children and young people.

* Work closely with the Deputy and Manager to ensure smooth operation and compliance with Ofsted standards.

* Act as a key worker, delivering tailored care based on individual needs.

* Assist with daily activities, including personal care, cooking, and managing pocket money.

* Support children's education and learning activities.

* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.

* Lead on health and safety, ensuring a safe environment for all.

* Be available for on-call duties as needed.

* Administer medication as required.

Team Responsibilities:

* Guide and support team members, fostering a positive and accountable culture.

* Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

* Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive work setting.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

* Experience: Proven experience in a residential care setting, particularly working with children or young people. Previous experience in a supervisory or senior role is preferred.

* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care or equivalent is essential.

* Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.

* Compliance: Understanding of safeguarding practices, regulatory frameworks, and Health and Safety requirements.
