Job Description

This is a newly-created junior / trainee Design Coordinator opportunity for an international main contractor. In light of recent news, my client is very open to considering individuals from ISG who may have been on design/technical training programmes.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established, international main contractor. They operate in a wide range of sectors across the UK and Europe. Their South business in the UK has a strong track record within the residential market and expertise within commercial, hospitality, and healthcare schemes.

This position has been created as a result of an increase in pipeline across residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors. The role will be largely London based but some WFH can be arranged. This position will offer the successful applicant the chance to take on a broad role with a high degree of responsibility on large scale projects.

The Design Team benefits from a relatively flat structure which affords Design Managers the opportunity to gain significant exposure and decision making input on large scale projects. Generally, roles will be site based but some WFH can be negotiated.

Description

As the Design Coordinator there is the potential to work on various projects in a training style position with a view to progressing within the company. Your remit would encompass support across the key areas below:

- Design team appointment (if relevant) and ongoing management

- Subcontractor appointment and management

- Coordination of technical information and build details for site team

- Design change management

- Management of RFIs and generation of build solutions as necessary

- Oversight of project handover

Profile

This Design Coordinator role is open to individuals with design/technical backgrounds, ideally within a main contractor environment. Residential, commercial, and hospitality scheme experience is advantageous but not essential.

In particular, my client would be open to hearing from individuals previously on ISG training schemes who may now be looking for a new position.
