Mechanical Plumber

Hackney - Static Healthcare Site

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + Call Out & Overtime

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Plumber to join a team at a large Healthcare site in Hackney. This role involves performing both planned and reactive maintenance as part of a dedicated team of engineers.

The ideal candidate we're recruiting for will have experienced completing general maintenance tasks in a commercial environment. This site offers additional training opportunities and will openly look at someone who is looking to gain additional skillsets, qualifications or simply enhance the skills in the plumbing field. You will be working on a government healthcare facilities looking after a mixture of labs, office spaces and hospitality areas.

Key Responsibilities for a Mechanical Plumber:

* Carry out planned maintenance on plumbing systems and mechanical equipment.

* Respond to reactive maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues promptly.

* Perform repairs and installations as required.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.

* Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.

* Participate in a 1 in 4 weeks call-out rota, with a standby payment of £100 per week and a minimum of 4 hours paid per call-out.

Qualifications/Experience required for a Mechanical Plumber:

* Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering/Plumbing (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing/Mechanical Engineering).

* Experience: Proven experience in mechanical plumbing, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.

* Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team.

* Attributes: Reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality service.
