Pipe Fitter/Welder / Coded Welder / UK Travel / Salary Based on Experience
Position 1 Recruitment is looking for an experienced Pipe Fitter/Welder or Coded Welder to join our client’s engineering team. This role involves traveling across the UK to support various projects.
As a Pipe Fitter/Welder, you will work with a team of engineers to install steam systems in various industries.
Responsibility:
* Performing repairs according to specifications.
* Working independently and using your initiative effectively.
* Providing excellent customer service by liaising with clients and addressing any issues that arise.
* Completing daily tasks assigned by management.
* Ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted on time.
As a Coded Welder responsibility:
* Welding in a commercial/industrial setting
* Welding the following: MIG, TIG and MMA
The ideal candidate will have strong welding experience, including MIG, TIG, and MMA techniques, and be skilled in welding mild steel and stainless steel. Pipe fitting experience and a CSCS Card are required. Experience with steam and hot water systems is preferred but not essential. A clean, full driving license is necessary due to the rural locations. Coded Welder must have proof of current coding qualifications
These are full-time, permanent role with hours from Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The position offers 28 days of holiday plus bank holidays, with an additional day for each year served up to 5 years.
Overtime is available, with weekend work paid at 5 hours for 1-5 hours worked and 10 hours for over 6 hours. Travel costs are covered after 1 hour of driving, and candidates are paid their hourly rate for travel time. Overnight stays include a £35 inconvenience payment, with hotel, dinner, and breakfast covered
