Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our college in Huddersfield. As a key member of our catering team, you will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that meals are prepared and served to a high standard. This role is perfect for someone passionate about food quality, health, and safety, with excellent leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the kitchen team, including scheduling shifts and training staff.
Ensure all meals are prepared in line with dietary requirements and nutritional standards.
Manage stock levels, ordering supplies as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in line with health and safety regulations.
Develop menus in collaboration with the catering manager, focusing on nutritious and appealing options for students and staff.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality meals.
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS REQUIRED
Previous experience in a kitchen supervisory role, preferably in an educational or similar setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for providing healthy, balanced meals.
