Job Description
Nestled in the stunning Northumberland countryside, our client's historic hotel serves also serves as an iconic events and wedding venue, blending centuries-old charm with modern hospitality. The hotel prides itself on delivering exceptional, bespoke dining experiences for guests, using locally sourced ingredients and seasonal produce to create memorable culinary delights.
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join our client's dynamic kitchen team and to play a key role in crafting exquisite dishes that reflect the unique character of their venue.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in preparing and delivering high-quality dishes for weddings, private events, and other functions.
Manage your own section of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared to the highest standard and on time.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to create and refine seasonal menus that highlight fresh, local ingredients.
Maintain high levels of hygiene and safety standards in accordance with regulations.
Take responsibility for food stock, ordering, and waste control within your section.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a fine dining or events setting.
A passion for food and a creative approach to menu design.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, with experience in using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks during busy periods.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for events.
NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
