Front End Developer

Were looking for a talented front end developer to come and help us build our cutting edge fintech products in our new office in Bristol.

Working pattern and pay

Its a full-time role, but we recognise flexibility matters, so we are open to discussing a working pattern that fits around your life. The salary band is £45,000 to £55,000 a year full-time.

Were a small fintech business with teams around the UK and in India. Our sector is heavily regulated, so we have specific ways of working and standards to meet. But were also creating forward-thinking, user-centric products, which means that its a creative environment. Were innovative, genuine, and fun to work with (thats direct feedback!) We dont have a traditional hierarchy or all that other stuff you might find in a bigger and more formal business.There are some amazing people to work and learn with here, all from different backgrounds and across lots of different disciplines.As were still small, our strength is in how good our people are. About the job

Working as one of our product teams, youll be:

Designing, writing and testing code for our technology solutions which is brilliantly functional, sustainable and useable

Creating technical documentation as part of planning and testing processes

Remaining involved in the full project lifecycle, to ensure that new enhancements provide the anticipated functionality, without impacting current functionality

Fixing issues reported by clients / QAs or identified during reviews

Developing and executing agile working plans for iterative and incremental project delivery

Anticipating the need for support post-release of product features/modifications, communicating with stakeholders proactively around that need, and keeping everyone confident in whats been released, and associated risks and fixes

About you

Wed love to hear from you if:

You have at least two years of experience in using ReactJS or another similar library / framework in a business setting

Youre familiar with Source Control

Youre thorough and precise in your work

Youre comfortable with uncertainty and change because were a small business working in an agile way so our work stack can change dramatically and this environment isnt for everyone

Youre analytical and capable of seeing the real issues, and thinking through to how to solve them

Youve got epic communication skills and youre hungry to learn new things

Youre able to work independently but know when to ask for help

Youre interested in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and would like to work with these concepts

Location

Were looking for someone to join us in our new office space in the Bristol (BS16) area. Wed like you to be in the office most of the time, with the chance to work from home occasionally. And yes. There are great transport links, bike storage, and free parking. No stuffy dress code to worry about. And the site is full of great people, great restaurants, and even a gym (which youll get membership of for free). So even though you might miss your own kettle, well bring the biscuits, plenty of opportunities, and hopefully youll feel right at home ??
