Job Description





We are looking for a motivated, pro-active individual to join our friendly and dedicated imaging team. We are a busy department, dedicated to delivering a high quality of care and service to our patients. We work across 2 sites in Stranraer & Dumfries where you would have Radiographic duties.
In Stranraer we have CT, US, General, Mobile and Dental provision.
In Dumfries we provide a CT, MR, US, DEXA, General, Interventional, Mobile, Theatre and Dental service. Both sites provide a 24/7 service, performing approx 100,000 exams per year.
Your role would be as a Radiographer bringing your General Radiography skills to our friendly department. As these 2 sites operate 24/7 you would be required to take an active part in the on-call system.
We are a forward looking department investing in the training of Radiographers to support the role of the Radiologist.
Stranraer is located in the South West of Scotland. Dumfries & Galloway is a popular tourist resort for many outdoor pursuits including golfing, walking, cycling and mountain biking plus lots lots more!

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
