Air Operations Co-Ordinator

Our client has consistently provided unmatched luxury cruises for over 30 years and has a list of awards and accolades that are the envy of many operators. This opportunity of Air Operations Coordinator plays a key role within their Guest services team, handling air service bookings and sharing information with the internal Guest Services team in the UK office. They also take calls from the Miami-based Outbound Team. They are looking for someone who has an in-depth knowledge of air products and various airlines who is able to create optimal air schedules for guests.


Air Operations Co-Ordinator – What will I be doing?

  • This role is very varied, including air-related activities, pricing, planning, staff travel, and organising special departures for unique Concierge Collection land packages.
  • The primary aim is to consistently deliver outstanding customer service by responding promptly to all communications.
  • Ticketing: Issue various air tickets accurately.
  • Process refunds and re-issue tickets as needed.
  • Airline Contracts & Pricing: Identify optimal airlines and calculate air supplements.
  • Stay updated on tactical airline offers.
  • Group Flights & Allocations: Monitor flight availability for group space utilization.
  • Negotiate extensions and keep reservations informed.
  • Reporting: Extract reports for quality checks and store ticket details.
  • Corporate Travel Requests: Book and ticket corporate travel requests.
  • Out of Hours Cover: Provide 24-hour emergency cover on a rota basis.


Air Operations Coordinator – What experience do I need?

It’s essential that you have GDS Experience including ticketing on Sabre, Amadeus or Travelport / Galileo. Ideally you will have worked in a similar role. You will need knowledge of Air Contracts and Nett Fares. You must be customer-focused with excellent communication skills and have strong product and destination knowledge. Fares & Ticketing 1&2 qualifications or equivalent experience.


Air Operations Co-ordinator – what else do I need to know?

The core hours are Monday to Friday 9 – 5.30pm with occasional Saturdays (9 – 3pm but paid for a full day) There is some out of hours work on a rota basis. This can be remote in the UK with training at the office and quarterly meetings or you canl be based in their wonderful offices in Southampton 3 days a week and work 2 days from home.
