Horsley Lodge is a renowned Golf Club, Hotel and Restaurant known for its exceptional service and high-quality food and beverages. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Head Chef to join our team and contribute to creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Job Description:

As Head Chef, you will be the creative and operational leader of the kitchen, responsible for delivering exceptional food whilst managing the day-to-day operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-end environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and develop the brigade to deliver consistently high standards of food

- Develop and design innovative menus, in line with seasonal and local ingredients

- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and presented beautifully

- Manage food purchasing and inventory, ensuring cost control and minimal waste

- Maintain and improve a solid GP margin within the kitchen

- Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene, adhering to health and safety regulations

- Oversee kitchen schedules and ensure optimal staffing levels in a busy environment

- Work closely with the management team to ensure seamless service with the front of house

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated success as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a high quality restaurant

- Strong organisational skills and excellent communication

- A passion for cooking and creating high quality dishes

- Able to remain calm and communicate clearly during busy service times

- Knowledge of Kitchen operations, food safety and hygiene standards

- Experience in cost control and budgeting
