The Place:

Our client is looking for a talented Head Chef to operate a funky, trendy food-led unit within the heart of Edinburgh. At the heart of this restaurant are Full-on Flavour & Highly Comforting cooking and our client ideally would like to attract an experienced Head Chef or an aspiring Sous Chef who has worked within a similar styled restaurant background. As the new Head Chef you will lead the team in producing great food which has a North American Diner cuisine twist to the menu as well as adhering to all company policies and procedures at all times within your remit.

The Job:

The main responsibilities in this Head Chef role are to ensure the team delivers the very best, both service and product. You will be heavily involved with the GM in implementing your own menus with regard to your interpretation of the agreed style, you will ensure the profitability of all within the kitchen. Making sure that you and your team comply with all health and safety regulations, is at the heart of the business, it is all about training and developing all members of the team and ensuring that all learning and development plans are completed thus helping to drive standards and retain enthusiastic and quality driven individuals passionate about food in this highly frequented and busy city centre restaurant.

The Person:

The ideal candidate for this Head Chef role will have experience within a busy, fast-paced restaurant. You will have excellent kitchen finance knowledge, be able to demonstrate a great understanding of this style of food that is on offer as well as current trends, work well under pressure, and be proactive. This Head Chef role is ideally suited to a current Head Chef or a Sous Chef who is now looking for their first Head Chefs role. Your CV must show consistency and longevity in each of the roles you have held to date, it will also clearly demonstrate a cv that is at ease with both volume and fast-paced business as well as at ease with attention to detail through the dishes delivered over the pass.
