THE ROLE Under the supervision of the Recreation Manager, he or he provides administrative support for the planning, organization and delivery of community recreation activities. She or he is responsible for reconciling expenses and liaising with the accounting department. This involves reconciling invoices, coding them and entering data into Excel. The recreation administrative clerk will also follow up with customers (expired subscriptions, problems, etc.). She or he prepares responses to enquiries and other correspondence and make recommendations for action. QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Office Administration, Accounting or a related field AND some years experience in administration or in a related field OR High school diploma AND several years experience in administration or related field Experience In office administration In basic accounting In drafting and distributing correspondence In applying policies, procedures and regulations In using software for publications and promotional correspondence In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail and internet browsing Competencies Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership. PSP: Keep our Canadian Armed Forces operationally ready and their families and military community healthy as part of the team at Personnel Support Programs. Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.
