Overview
We seek a skilled and experienced Director of Accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the accounting department and ensure financial compliance and accuracy.

An opportunity exists to join our dynamic organization as Director of Accounting. This role will report to the company's president.

What You Will Do
- Provide leadership and oversight of all accounting functions, including payables, receivable, payroll, budgeting, treasury, and financial reporting.

- As the Director of Accounting, you will help define and drive long-term strategy and improvements for WDI and its affiliated companies.

- Some travel will be required.

- Provide leadership and oversight of all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, treasury, and financial reporting.

- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute strategic plans to support business growth and profitability.

- Create and present the annual budget for approval by the executive team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

- Design and implement effective risk management.

- Analyze financial performance and provide strategic guidance to optimize revenue and control costs.

- Maintain relationships with banking institutions, external auditors, and business partners.

- Develop and implement accounting procedures, including internal control systems, to ensure accuracy and safeguard company assets.

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements including Corporate Governance.

- Maintain effective communication with the foreign parent company and joint venture partners.

- Enhance financial reporting systems, including evaluating and upgrading accounting software as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills;
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in tax, bank reconciliation, debits, credits, technical accounting, financial accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, financial software, accrual accounting, and accounts payable

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred

- Understand how operational and financial decisions impact the financial statements, including the impacts of US GAAP

- Ability to set up, manage, and maintain financial reports and tools for cost control measures

- Proven experience in a senior accounting role

- Excellent leadership and communication skills

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

-Experience with Great Plain Dynamics (ERP) system is a plus

- Demonstrate concise and clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to listen to others actively

- Work independently on self -directed and assigned tasks under moderate direction and supervision

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
