Finance Director (15 Months Maternity Cover) | Competitive Salary/ Preston
We are seeking an experienced Finance Director for a Maternity Cover contract, based in the UK, near Preston 3 days a week. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a renowned, international Travel Group.
In this role, you will provide financial leadership across key areas, including Management Accounting, Finance Systems, Financial Control, and Treasury. You'll deliver a high-quality financial service, drive efficiencies, and ensure accurate reporting in line with group policies.
Finance Director Key Responsibilities:
Provide financial support and regular communication across the businessStandardise Management Accounts and Financial Reporting, driving improvementsBuild and maintain a strong financial control cultureManage audits, ensuring accurate and timely deliverablesOversee balance sheets, cash flow budgets, and forecastsLead and develop the Finance team, fostering collaboration and high performance
Requirements:
Several years of experience in senior financial roles, ideally within the travel industry, or retail sector. Experience working in a highly transactional, fast-paced company.Previous experience working for a large, multinational company in a matrix environment.Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in team developmentComprehensive knowledge of accounting standards and financial controlsStrategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skillsPost-qualification accounting experience is essential
This is a hybrid role, with some initial office-based requirements and occasional UK travel.
