Job Description

We are looking to fill the position of Guest Service Manager with Dorsett Shepherds Bush London and daO by Dorsett West London our aparthotel. As a Guest Service Manager, you will support the Rooms Division Manager and Front Office Manager in the daily tasks, and managing the front desk team. You must be an enthusiastic and proactive individual who enjoys varied responsibilities with a positive approach to leading from the front and getting the best from our teams. The individual must have an eye for detail, be self-motivated, and be driven to go deliver a warm and welcoming guest experience for our guests, exceeding their expectations. The successful candidate must be flexible and adaptable to assume responsibilities and demonstrate excellent leadership, and communication skills both verbal and written.

The scope of this position is to ensure a smooth and efficient operation and coordination of the various tasks within the front office. The role is responsible for the daily front Office operation, including supporting the Senior team, providing excellent guest relations, and taking full responsibility for the front office in the absence of the Front Office Manager and Rooms Division Manager.

The essential functions of this role are to:

Ensure that all services in the front office are available and carried out with the utmost efficiency and courtesy.

Attend the daily operations meeting in the absence of the Front Office Manager/ or Rooms Division Manager

Ensure hotel walk-around is carried out with the checklist and highlighted at the daily operations meeting. Follow-up action is required to ensure all areas of concern have been concluded.

Continuously inspect hotel areas to ensure both the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel's guests are maintained and that all standards of amenities and touches are provided in rooms and public areas.

Lead and support other members of the team by taking a "hands-on approach" to ensure that peak periods and rest periods are adequately covered.

Demonstrate proper and safe usage of all equipment.

Adherence to the hotel's Cash handling procedures.

Support the Front Office Manager to achieve financial targets, Dorsett Your Rewards programme etc. by coaching and motivating and use of incentives and other guest-focused programs.

Meet and welcome regular VIP guests following the hotel's guest recognition programs.
