General Catering Assistant / Kitchen Assistant

General Catering Assistant with previous kitchen or Front of House experience, with good communication skills and the ability to follow strict instructions is required for Avanti Park Primary School, part of Avanti Schools Trust, based in Frome, Somerset, South West England.

SALARY: £11.44 per hour

LOCATION: Frome, Somerset, South West England (BA11)

JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent (term time only)

WORKING HOURS: 10 hours per week, Term Time Only

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a General Catering Assistant with previous kitchen or Front of House experience, with good communication skills and the ability to follow strict instructions.

The General Catering Assistant will support the kitchen and food & beverage teams, ensuring all kitchen and front of house areas are clean and tidy and all crockery and cutlery are prepared for the food & beverage team to ensure smooth running of service and provide a positive dining experience to guests.

DUTIES

Your duties as a General Catering Assistant will include:

• Prepare all types of food in line with kitchen requirements or to pack meals as needed

• Assist in all aspects of the day-to-day duties in the kitchen and Front of House, ensuring that the required catering service is successfully delivered on a daily basis. This includes working as an effective team member

• Liaise and co-operate with the Chef manager and the Front of House manager, to follow and respect their request and orders

• Preparation of meals and or packing, observing all Quality, Hygiene and Food Safety requirements

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Kitchen Experience or Front of House Experience

• Ability to follow strict instructions in a systematic and consistent manner

• The ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment

• Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
