ReceptionNight Manager (Duty Officer)

Responsible to: Front Office Manager

General Scope and Purpose:

To provide a positively memorable stay

Assistguests with luggage (good physical strengthrequired).

General information on the services provided.

Toassistwith transportation for guests asrequired

Receiving and recording of mail delivered to theReceptiondesk.

Toassistand supervisetheReceptionteam and act as a Duty Officer as and whenrequired.

Ensure smooth operation of Front Desk

Training new employees

Ensuring the lobby is clean and presentable

Responding to guest complaints or concerns

Assistwith making sure the safety of the property

Hours of work:Full-time position

The Front Officeoperates365 days a year, 24/7 so shifts will vary pending business levels and requirements.

Duty Officer shifts, 12 hours per day, including 1 hour break. 3Nightson/3Nightsoff.7pm-7am

The person:

Needs to be physically fit as there will be lots of lifting and carrying.Previouscustomer service and use of Front Office PMSrequired. The person will need to provide information to guests travelling around London and help resolve issues as they arise.

This would be an ideal opportunity for a receptionist with some reception experience to develop their skills as a Duty Officer.

  • Previoushotel experience essential.

Experience with Front Office PMS system an advantage.

Smart appearance and good grooming standards are expected.

Good command of written and spoken English languagerequired, other languages an advantage.
