Job Description

Anabas is a dynamic National Facilities Management company. Our focus lies in supporting corporate office occupiers looking for a great workplace experience for their staff and customers.

We are seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator,to join out teamworking at our client site in Swindon.The Painter & Decorator will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, sealants, and other finishes to interior and exterior spaces, and ensuring high-quality results that meet our clients' expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for colour, a strong understanding of the trade, and a commitment to delivering quality craftsmanship. You will collaborate closely with clients, and other team members to transform spaces with precision and creativity.

The role requires a degree of physical fitness as manual handling is required.

?The successful applicant will have free use of the Swindon onsite Gym and Barista bar and access to the onsitesubsidizedrestaurant.

This is a full time permanent position working hours 08:00am to 5:00pm excluding a 1 hour lunch. Total 40 working hours per week with an annual salary of between£30,000 and £32,000.

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate your skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Hold a recognised qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent), with a minimum of two years experience in a similar role.
  • Practical skills and proficient with tools.
  • Proficient in mathematics, must be able to calculate surfaces, equipment, and materials required for project work.
  • Organised, and able to meet deadlines.
  • A keen eye for detail and maintaining a clean workspace.
  • A degree of physical fitness to complete manual handling tasks, carrying tools and equipment with loads not exceeding 20kg.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Willing to participate in training and development opportunity.
  • Can confidently escalate concerns or issues to supervisors/managers.
  • Preferably hold IOSH Working Safely or have a demonstrable understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility over working hours (will be required to work paid overtime on evenings and weekends to ensure work is completed)
